Varanasi crosses 5000 COVID-cases
Varanasi: The Varanasi district crossed the mark of 5000 with 127 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday. The death toll too rose to 91 with two more fatalities including an additional chief medical officer in the district.
According to the medical bulletin, the total number of positive cases rose to 5,003 with 127 more persons tested positive for COVID-19. So far 3,350 patients including 1724 in home isolation have recovered. Presently, there are 1,562 active cases of COVID-19 in Varanasi district.
Varanasi crosses 5000 COVID-cases
The Ghazipur district reported 63 new cases of COVID-19 increasing the tally to 1,758. Presently, the district has 1,083 active cases of coronavirus, while 14 patients had died so far.
The Jaunpur district reported 35 new cases of coronavirus increasing the tally to 2,885. So far, 2,079 patients have recovered from illness, while 37 patients lost their lives.
Azamgarh district too reported 86 new positive cases increasing the tally to 1,933. So far, 569 patients have recovered, while 32 persons died during treatment. Presently, there are 974 patients under treatment in the district.
In Sonbhadra district, the total number of positive cases rose to 999 with 27 new cases on Wednesday. So far, 681 patients have recovered, while eight persons died. Presently, the district has 310 active cases of COVID-19.
Mirzapur district also reported 27 new positive cases increasing the tally to 1,182. So far, 807 patients have recovered, while 20 persons lost their lives. The district has 355 active cases of COVID-19.
