DLW produces 31 Locomotives in July

Varanasi: The Diesel Locomotive Works (DLW), a premium production unit of Indian Railways in Varanasi, has a set a record by producing 31 electric locomotives in a month.

“A record production of 31 electric locomotives was set in the month of July 2020,” said the DLW spokesperson Ashok Kumar adding this record was made in challenging situation even after the slow start of production in July due to the spread of Covid-19.

The DLW general manager Yashpal Singh lauded the team spirit of the staff and heads of the departments involved in production. This achievement has been received with collective efforts of all the departments, he said.
