Muslim women perform Ram Aarti
Varanasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Kashi too celebrated the bhoomipujan of Ram Mandir on Wednesday when he was performing the rituals at Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya.
Many Muslim women, who have been performing Shri Ram aarti on auspicious occasions like Ram Navami for last 14 years, performed Shri Ram aarti and sang in his praise at a special event organized at Subhash Bhawan in Lamahi village to celebrate the occasion. These Muslim women associated with Muslim Mahila Foundation and Vishal Bharat Sansthan along with Hindu devotees sang bhajans and also recited the verses of Ramcharti Manas scripted in Urdu by the MMF president Nazneen Ansari.

“We have changed our religion, not the ancestors. Shri Ram is our ancestor, and construction of Ram Mandir will strengthen the country’s unity,” said Nazneen. The event was attended by VBS founder Dr. Rajiv Srivastava, Archana Bharatvanshi, Dr. Mridula Jaisawal and others.
Meanwhile, some local groups also organized yajna and havan at Sai Temple in Nadesar area. The Karni Sena distributed 101 kg laddu as prasad among the people. Another group of people performed the bog of 151 kg laddu and distributed as prasad. The earthen lamps were lit in the households in the evening to celebrate the occasion.
