Son killed by Father in Azamgarh

Azamgarh: A man allegedly killed his own son in a political rivalry at Gaddipur village in Mehnagar police station area of Azamgarh district on Friday. The police arrested the father and sent the body for postmortem.

According to reports, Hawaldar Yadav, the pradhan of Gaddipur village, allegedly beat his son Nate Yadav to death over poll dispute. Nate was preparing to contest the next panchayat election against his own father. Both of them had also clashed over this issue in the past. Meanwhile, Hawaldar came to know that Nate was conspiring to eliminate him with the help of some contract killers.

Hawaldar caught Nate in the market on Friday, and allegedly beat him to death. After killing his son, he was preparing to cremate the body with the help of his followers outside the village.

In the meantime, someone informed the police about the killing. The police immediately reached there and arrested Hawaldar. Azamgarh SP Triveni Singh said that the matter was being investigated. A manhunt has also been launched against those who helped Hawaldar in this crime.
