Ghazipur: The Ghazipur Kotwali police on Sunday booked the jailed mafia don Mukhtar Ansari’s wife and two sons along with nine others under sections 420, 423 ,465, 467, 468, 471, 474, 477A, 120B of IPC.
According to police, the case was lodged against them for fraudulently purchasing a piece of land on which they illegally constructed a hotel owned by Mukhtar’s wife Afsa Ansari and his two sons Abbas Ansari and Umar Ansari at Mohammadpur Patti in Ghazipur.
According to reports, a team of administrative and police officials inspected the hotel and examined the documents. It was found that the land was fraudulently grabbed by procuring sale deed by three unauthorized persons including Ravindra Nath Sharma of Muhammadabad, Shrikant of Zamania and Nandlal of Jangipur.
Mukhtar’s kin were main accused and conspirators of the case. Besides, the other accused included Sayyad Kaiser Hussain, Zafar Abbas, Sayyad Sadiq Hussain, Shivnath Singh, Chandrasen Vishwakarma, and Motilal.
Earlier, Ghazipur police had booked Afsha Ansari and her brothers- Sharjil Raja and Anwar Shehjad under Gangster Act on September 12 for alleged involvement in grabbing confiscated lands, embezzlement and other criminal activities. Besides, the Gangster court in Ghazipur district issued non-bailable warrant against them on September 18.
