Sonbhadra: A man allegedly killed his mother and wife with some sharp edge weapon and burnt the bodies at his house in Khadia locality in Shaktinagar police station area of Sonbhadra district on Tuesday. After locking the doors, he fled from the scene. The police launched a manhunt to nab the absconding accused.
According to reports, a local resident Sadab allegedly killed the two women of his family. The incident came to light when Sadab’s sister Shaira, who lives in the neighbourhood with elder brother Abdul Mannan, went to his house in the afternoon and found her mother Shafibunnisha (64) and sister-in-law Rukhsana (20) murdered and half burnt. The news of double murder spread like a wildfire, and sensation prevailed in the locality.
The police reached the spot after getting information. According to police, Mannan lodged a complaint against Sadab for the killings. The bodies were sent for postmortem. The reason behind the killing was not known. The investigation is underway.
