Varanasi: Synergy Fabricraft, a leading exporter of silk in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Lok Sabha constituency — Varanasi, has achieved a rare milestone by helping out over two lakh needy people under its various corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
Sharing details about the Group’s CSR journey so far, Rajat Mohan Pathak said that Rajat Synergy Foundation (RSF) was set up by late Rajendra Mohan Pathak ‘Rajju Bhaiya’ on August 15, 2010 with the commitment to take care of all those and their families who are associated with Rajat Synergy Group.
“The RSF began its journey on a very positive note of making gainful engagements available for the weavers of Mubarakpur in Varanasi region. A small and humble beginning assumed a huge dimension in due course of time. Our efforts saw around 1500 women and 1000 men getting gainful employment. In its decade long journey, the RSF has helped out over two lakh people so far,” said Mr Pathak.
On the 10th foundation day of RSF, Chairperson Mrs Bharti Pathak said that in 2010, a grand Iftar was organised at Vila Synergy in Mahmoorganj in Varanasi in which Hindus and Muslims, all participated and set a rare example of social affinity and harmony. Similarly, in the year 2012, an exhibition-cum-workshop was organised for the artists of Anandvan at Vila Synergy, Mahmoorganj, in which world famous artists were invited to encourage the budding ones.
Mrs Pathak further informed that she and late Rajendra Mohan Pathak, founder of RSF, distributed sewing machines among poor women in a bid to make them self-reliant. In 2015, the RSF decided to plant 10 lakh saplings across Uttar Pradesh and the campaign continues. In 2016, paintings were drawn on the walls of physiotherapy centre so that children, who come for treatment, feel better. In 2018, the RSF launched a new initiative called ‘Annapurna’ under which 100 children are fed every day during Navratra.

Mr Rajat said that the Covid-19 has created such an atmosphere that the people are losing their self-confidence, which is not only affecting their immunity but also the ability to sustain their livelihood. Under its CSR commitment, the RSF regularly sanitizes the houses of all the members of Rajat Synergy Group family to instill the sense of confidence among them that they and their families are quite safe against coronavirus so that they can continue contributing to the economy of the country with all positivity, which will also help them. The RSF has taken up the responsibility to keep sanitizing the houses of 100 families of Rajat Group every week till the situation doesn’t normalize.
