Indo-American Friendship Potali (packets) distributed
To mark the friendly relation between India and America, a local organization Vishal Bharat Sansthan distributed food packets naming them -‘Indo-American Friendship Potali (packet)’ among the poor elderly women at Lamahi village on Friday.
The VBS founder Dr. Rajiv Srivastava distributed the packets among destitute and Muslim widows at Subhash Bhavan, Indresh Nagar colony in Lamahi. Each packet consists of rice, pulses, flour, sugar, gram, sattu, oil and spices.
Srivastava said that the VBS had distributed 1.25 lakh food packets for 100 days since the beginning of lockdown. As the lockdown has been imposed again in the state, the organization is arranging food packets to the elderly persons. He said that through this initiative the organization expressed its gratitude to the Indo-American friendship to fight against all odds including COVID-19 pandemic spread from China. VBS volunteers including Archana Bharatvanshi, Dr. Mridula Jaiswal, Nazneen Ansari, Nazma Parvin, Kushi Bharatvanshi, Ili Bharatvanshi, and Dakshita Bharatvanshi prepared the food packets.
