22 more COVID-19 cases found
Varanasi: With 22 new COVID-19 positive cases, the tally rose to 496 in the district, and one more death due to the virus increased the toll to 19. Among the 22 new cases 12 are doctors and paramedical staffs of a private hospital.
According to the district magistrate Kaushal Raj Sharma, 477 test reports were received from BHU lab on Tuesday. So far 293 patients have recovered from illness. Presently, there are 184 active cases of COVID-19 in the district.
A 49-year-old kidney patients from Dikapur village of Chiraigaon area, who was admitted to BHU hospital since June 12 and also diagnosed as COVID-19 positive died on Tuesday.
