BHU Professor appointed VC of Nalanda Open University

 

Varanasi: Prof HN Prasad of the Department of Library and Information Science, Banaras Hindu University has been appointed vice-chancellor of Nalanda Open University, Patna (Bihar).

According to the BHU spokesperson Rajesh Singh, he would take over the charge on Friday. The Chancellor of the universities of Bihar appointed Prof Prasad VC for a period of three years from the date he assumes the charge of the office.

Prof Prasad has authored five books and contributed 50 research papers. As many as 19 research scholars have received PhD degree under his guidance.
