One more COVID-19 positive case found in Azamgarh

 

Azamgarh: One more COVID-19 positive case was detected in Mubarakpur area of Azamgarh district on Sunday. A woman, resident of Chak Sikathi locality in Mubarakpur, has tested positive for COVID-19.

Earlier, three attendees of Tablighi Jamaat were found positive, and three more persons of a family, who came into contacted with them, were also tested positive. Later, the TJ attendees were tested negative.

The woman, whose report was received on Sunday, got infected after coming into contact with the infected family living in the neighbourhood. According to the chief medical officer Dr. AK Mishra, the samples of five members of woman’s family were sent for testing. The reports of other four members are awaited. The woman has been shifted to the isolation ward of the hospital, while the four members have been quarantined.
