Surge in COVID-19 cases

Varanasi: As many as 20 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the district by 11 am on Monday, increasing the tally to 878.

However, 438 patients have recovered from illness and were discharged from the hospitals, while 27 persons lost their lives so far.

Earlier on Sunday, as many as 60 persons were tested positive for COVID-19 (15 cases till 11 am and 45 cases by the evening). Presently, there are 413 active cases of COVID-19 in the district.
