Varanasi: Before organizing the five-day 40th INDIA CARPET EXPO – VIRTUAL EXHIBITION from August 21 to 25, the Carpet Export Promotion Council (CEPC) organized the first Demo of the Virtual Exhibition for members on Sunday.
This virtual edition of the expo is the first initiative to bridge the gap between Indian products and demand of handmade carpets and floor coverings across the globe in post pandemic era. It is a great and unique opportunity for the exporters to get themselves associated with the event as an exhibitor to reach out to global buyers.

The CEPC chairman Shri Siddh Nath Singh along with Shri Umesh Kumar Gupta, Shri Abdul Rub, Shri Onkar Nath Mishra, Shri Rajender Prashad Mishra, Shri Sriram Maurya, Shri Sanjay Gupta, Shri Husain Jafar Husaini, Shri Bodh Raj Malhotra, Shri Sandeep Kataria, Members COA, CEPC attended the Demo through video conference.
The chairman informed that after completing the due process, Council has finalized the name of M/s Falcon Exhibitions Pvt. Ltd. to execute the job for providing platform of international level with all technical support for setting up, designing, training, hosting and maintenance for hosting virtual exhibition, support for registration of Exhibitor & Buyers Registration, Website Builder, Mobile Application, Video Conferencing, Webinar etc. with full data security. The Agency will provide all technical assistance to the participants 24 X 7. Council will share the details of the help desk with all the participants.

The chairman further mentioned that with a view to have maximum participation of the member-exporters, Council initiated the following and increased the facilities for the participants:
- Reduced the participation charges drastically i.e. Rs. 15,000/- from Rs. 40,000/- and Rs. 20,000/- from Rs. 50,000.00.
- Unlimited upload of product display and brochures.
- Access for 2 Video Conferencing in Basic Pack and 3 Video Conferencing in Premium pack.
Mr. Sooraj Dhawan and his team clarifies the queries of the participants. To facilitate the immediate reply to the queries of the participants Council is creating a whatsapp group of all participants.

Chairman mentioned that the things depends on the digital display and connectivity of the Members and hence once again requested all the members to arrange for high speed internet connectivity and prepare for their best digital display.
Chairman said that Virtual Exhibition is a new concept for the Members-Exporters, Buyers and Council. Shri Sanjay Kumar, Executive Director, CEPC and the whole team of CEPC and agency are working very hard and will provide all necessary assistance to the participants.
The CEPC team is hopeful that the Virtual Exhibition will be a grand success, industry will enter into a new era with the help of technology, open the doors of global market in the corona scenario and will be a mile stone. Chairman requested for the support and cooperation of the Members for the success of the show.
