Four new COVID-19 positive cases detected in Varanasi
Number of total positive cases climb to 81 in the district with 50 active cases
Varanasi: With the detection of four new COVID-19 positive cases on Saturday late evening, the number of positive cases climbed to 81 in the district. As many as 30 patients recovered from the illness, while there are 50 active cases in the isolation wards of the hospitals.
According to the district magistrate Kaushal Raj Sharma, two persons contracted infection from an infected resident of Madanpura, who had come into contact with an attendee of Tablighi Jamaat. One of them is the 70-year-old mother of the man, while the other is his seven-year-old niece. The other two persons including a 32-year-old woman and 42-year-old man are the kin of an infected resident of Lallapura area.
