Medico tested positive for COVID-19
Varanasi: A junior resident doctor at the orthopaedic ward of trauma centre of Banaras Hindu University was tested positive for COVID-19. All services in the orthopaedic ward have been suspended.
The 13 other junior residents dwelling in Sushrut hostel with infected junior resident have been quarantined.
According to the in-charge of trauma centre Prof SK Gupta, orthopaedic emergency and surgery services have also been stopped after the report was received. All the patients admitted in this ward were tested negative. The patients are being referred to DDU district hospital’s orthopaedic ward after providing first aid.
