BHU Commerce Faculty holds a Webinar on COVID-19

 

Varanasi: The Faculty of Commerce, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) organized a two-day National Webinar on ‘Socio-vis-a-vis Economic Impact of COVID-19’ on Saturday.

Taking part in the webinar Prof. Yogesh Upadhya, Vice-Chancellor of ITM University, Baroda said that the entire world is facing unprecedented challenge of coronavirus, and the economic impact will be like the economic recession of 1929. But ultimately India will get social advantage on Global Front, and the loss for GDP growth will be improved by 2022.

Prof. UK Tripathi, Head of Veda Department, BHU said “We have to abide by our traditional life style”. Prof. A Vaishmpayan, former Director of the Institute of Agricultural Science explained the scientific vistas of corona and said that success depends upon faith on cleanness. The Dean Faculty of Commence, Prof. OP Rai emphasised on positive thinking and stress management. The pro Vice-chancellor of KIIT, Bhubaneshwar said that corona virus pandemic will be resolved by full adherence with government rules and cooperation of the society.

Organizing secretary Prof. HK Singh, Student Advisor of Faculty of Commerce, presented the report of research papers and articles presented in four technical session comprising of economic, social, spiritual and ethical dimensions. He said that COVID-19 is harming India from economic angle in short period but ultimately it will be a turning point by which the country will be re-established as Vishwa-Guru in long run.
