PM extends apology, CM bats on the front

After criticism over the handling of the lockdown and the mass migration UP CM reaches Delhi and border district of Uttar Pradesh.

Lucknow: While the Prime Minister Narendra Modi sought apology from the people for the inconvenience and trouble resulted in migration due to lockdown, the UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the state’s border to take stock of the situation.

Soon after the huge gathering of migrants during lockdown that left many hungry and jobless to flee cities and walk hundreds of kilometres to their native villages, the PM sought forgiveness, as the economic crisis and human toll from the 21-day nationwide lockdown deepens and criticism mounts over a lack of adequate planning ahead of the decision.

Meanwhile, Yogi on Monday reached Gautam Buddha Nagar, where covid-19 cases rose to 23 of 75 cases in UP, the highest in the state. CM Yogi also visited Delhi and held meeting to review the plight of situation and problem of migrant workers.

Amid political blame game over the mass exodus migrants, CM Yogi has appealed to the migrant workers of the state to stay there, and he will endure their safety. However, thousands of migrants were compelled to flee to their home towns. In such a situation he decided to take the challenge on the front and visited Delhi to in view of providing them social security and confidence among migrants.

Earlier, CM Yogi reviewed the preparedness for the prevention from corona virus infection. According to sources CM went harsh over ceasefire company, which brought defame in the wake of COVID-19 spread in twin city Noida-Greater Noida.

CM Yogi also inspected the quarantine and isolation center made in the Sharda hospital, Government Institute of Medical Sciences and Noida District Hospital at Kasna. After a night stay in Delhi, the CM on Tuesday will visit Ghaziabad, another border district with Delhi.
