Jaunpur administration announces a reward of Rs. 5001 for giving information of TJ attendees

 

Jaunpur: The district administration on Saturday announced cash reward of Rs 5100 for providing information about the attendees of Tablighi Jamaat hiding in the district.

The district magistrate Dinesh Kumar Singh made an appeal to the people to inform about the hiding TJ attendees. People can give a call or message on his phone number. The informer would be given a cash reward of Rs 5100. To avoid legal action the attendees of Tablighi Jamaat are advised to contact him personally or nearest police station to get examined.

According to him, 46 persons who attended Tablighi Jamaat had been detected in the district and quarantined in different shelter homes. The first infected person was found in the district on March 23 and he was discharged from hospital after getting cured.

Later, two TJ attendees including one from Bangladesh and other from Ranchi (Jharkhand) were caught from Lal Darwaja mosque on April 2, and they were tested positive. A youth of Devgaon village in Badlapur area, who had returned from Deoband, was tested positive for COVID-19 on April 8, while one more youth, aged around 32, was tested positive on April 16.
