Fourth COVID-19 patient dies in the district

 

Varanasi: An 80-year-old retired Ayurveda professor of Banaras Hindu University died due to COVID-19 infection at the BHU hospital on Monday. Confirming the death, the district magistrate Kaushal Raj Sharma said that the patient was admitted to the ICU four days back.

The death toll rose to four in Varanasi. Earlier, a 73-year-old patient of COVID-19 died at the BHU’s ICU on May 16. He was a retired government officer and resident of Lanka area. A 58-year-old woman had died on May 14, while a trader expired on April 3 due to corona virus infection.
