Youth overrun by tractor-trolley
Varanasi: In a tragic incident a youth was crushed to death by a speeding tractor trolley and his two minor daughters sustained injuries near Karsara village in Rohania area on Tuesday. The local villagers blocked the road in protest against the incident. The jam was cleared after police intervention.
According to reports, Anwar (35), resident of Belwaria village in Cholapur area, had gone to his in-law’s place at Rudauli village. He and his two daughters were returning home, when he lost control over his motorcycle. In the meantime, a speeding tractor trolley ran over him. He died on the spot, and his daughters were injured.

The tractor driver fled from the scene after the accident. The local residents blocked the road in protest against the killing. Rohania SO Parashuram Tripathi with police force reached the village after getting information. He convinced the villagers to end the blockade.
According to police, the tractor belongs to Surendra Pal, resident of Bela village in Adalpura area. The police sent the body for postmortem and seized the tractor trolley.
