Lucknow: Many students from different cities of Uttar Pradesh, who were trapped in Kota (Rajasthan) for a month amid lockdown due to outbreak of COVID-19, became emotional after returning home on Thursday.

“We were under immense tension and fear after the surge of cases in Kota. It was the happiest moment for us when we came to know that the chief minister Yogi Adityanath is sending buses to bring us back home. We are proud of our CM,” said Manasi Singh, a native of Moradabad.

Like Manasi, many other students including Nisha Singh of Varanasi, Mohammad Shahid of Gonda and Saurabh Shukla of Kanpur also thanked the CM for reuniting them with their families in such a critical situation.

These students, who had gone to Kota for the preparations of competitive examinations, had virtually lost their hope. They were short of words in expressing their joy after returning home.
