Two migrants tested COVID-19 positive in Maharajganj

 

Maharajganj: Two more persons were tested positive for COVID-19 in the district. The number of positive cases rose to 11, while the district has four active cases of COVID-19.

According to the district magistrate Dr Ujjwal Kumar, the samples were sent for testing on May 15. The infected persons are migrant workers arrived form New Delhi and Mumbai. They belong to Mahua Mahui and Kandh Sadar areas of the district. They were screened at Jaipuria Center in Farrenda.

Earlier, six persons were tested positive on April 3. The district was declared free from corona infection after their test reports were found negative on April 16 and 17. Later, with the arrival of migrant workers more persons were found infected with the virus. So far 11 persons were tested positive out of whom four are still in the isolation ward.
