COVID-19 is under control in UP: Yogi

 

Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath claimed that the corona virus epidemic is under control in Uttar Pradesh. “It is because of the awareness and attentiveness of the people. We will be able to overcome the Corona epidemic soon,” he said.

So far, 3,698 people have recovered from Covid-19 and at present, there are 2,680 active cases in the state. CM Yogi said that lakhs of people have been brought safely by the state government, and the process is still continuing. The unity that the people have shown in fighting the Corona epidemic is an example in itself. The state government is always ready to provide all possible help to the needy.

Sharing it to media persons on Tuesday, the additional chief secretary (Home) Awanish Kumar Awasthi said that in a review meeting with Team 11 at Lok Bhawan on Tuesday, CM directed to strictly follow the lockdown. He said that CM has instructed that the chief secretary should write a letter to all the state governments asking for information about people coming to UP from their states. He said that CM has directed that the safe, secure and dignified return of the workers should be ensured.

Awasthi said that more than 25 lakh people have returned to UP so far. CM Yogi has directed that information about the qualifications of all workers should be collected by creating a call center of 200 people. Also, within 15 days, workers should be accommodated on the basis of merit in the MSME sector.

He said that following CM’ instruction to open parks in the morning preparations are being made to open the parks based on the guidelines of lockdown. CM has also directed to distribute free food grains from June 1. He said that at present 1,009 hotspots have been identified in the state, which are under 533 police stations. He said that till Tuesday, 1,265 trains have arrived in UP ferrying over 17 lakh people.
