Muslim women in Kashi perform aarti of Shri Ram

 

Varanasi: When the country witnessed the abnormal behavior of Tablighi Jamaat members like spitting even on doctors, the temple town Kashi saw the finest example of religious harmony -Muslim women chanting in praise of Shri Ram on the occasion of Ram Navami celebration on Thursday.

Nazneen Ansari, president of Muslim Mahila Foundation, and her fellow members performed performed puja and aarti of Shri Ram to celebrate his birthday at Subhash Bhavan in Lamahi village.

As Shri Ram is the savior of mankind, we prayed for the elimination of corona virus as well as the poison in the mind of Tablighi Jamaat people,” Nazneen. The MMF has been celebrating the Ram Navami celebration for last 14 years.

Nazneen, who has also scripted Durga Chalisa, Hanuman Chalisa and Ramchartimanas in Urdu, believes that all the evils could be ended by the grace of Shri Ram.

Since the country is under lockdown due to corona virus threat, only five women performed the aarti this year maintaining the norm of social distancing, she said.
