One more COVID-19 positive case detected in Mirzapur

 

Mirzapur: With the detection of one more coronavirus positive case the number rose to three in Mirzapur district. A Tablighi Jamaat attendee from Dikshitpur village in Chunar area was tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday.

The Mirzapur chief medical officer Dr. OP Tiwari said that the man has been admitted to the isolation ward. The 15 members of his family have been quarantined at home.

To attend the Tablighi Jamaat six persons of Narayanpur and Jamalpur blocks had gone to Delhi. They returned home on March 22. The health department personnel admitted them to the isolation ward of Vindhyachal community health centre for screening and testing.

In the first test report received on April 4, two of persons -one from Sherwa village of Jamalpur and another from Basadhi village of Ahraura were found positive.  In second testing one more person was found positive on Thursday evening.
