Varanasi: ‘Koshish -Ek Muskan Lane Ki’, a small social organization in Jamshedpur town in Jharkhand, is literally doing the same as its name suggests – ‘endeavoring to bring a smile’ back to those faces, who have lost this god gifted beauty in the struggle of life.

A team of 25 people, who are engaged in some jobs and petty trades, has been taking care of needy persons for over three years. “Each member makes monthly contributions of Rs. 200 to Rs. 300 to help the poor in different ways like arranging school fees, sewing machines to women or marriage expenses,” said a member Banty Singh.

As the country has been battling against the corona pandemic, the members of the organization tighten their belts on the very first day of the lockdown to help the needy persons during this period of crisis. “So far we have arranged ration for 1002 needy families, distributed 8,800 food packets among others,” he said adding that the organization is working tirelessly to fulfill its social responsibility in this critical phase.

Though the resources are limited, the morale of each member is high to serve the society is all possible ways. “We are grateful to those who come forward with helping hands,” he said.
