Drug Free Kashi campaign of Kashiyana Foundation

Varanasi: Under the drug-free India campaign the representatives of Kashiyana Foundation called on the divisional commissioner Deepak Agrawal on Wednesday seeking his support in making the riverfront of Kashi a drug/liquor free zone.

The founder of Kashiyana Foundation Sumit Singh said that the commissioner said that people need to come forward to discourage the drug addicts. The administration is making efforts to create awareness among the masses in this regard, he said adding that an extensive awareness campaign would be conducted after February 16.

The Kashiyana Foundation has been working to make Kashi free from drug/liquor addiction for last five years. A series of activities including street play, signature campaign, meetings and cultural events are organized on regular basis to create awareness among the masses, said Singh.
