Fruit vendor shot dead
Azamgarh: Following a dispute over some minor issue a fruit vendor shot another vendor at Khudadarpur village in Nizamabad police station area in Azamgarh district on Monday.
According to reports, Abid and Anas, residents of the same village, used to sell mangoes in the local market. A dispute occurred between them over the placing of vends on Saturday evening. The matter was resolved after the intervention of other vendors.
Fruit vendor shot dead
On Monday morning, Anas allegedly shot Abid and fled from the scene. Abid was rushed to the hospital but he succumbed to injury on the way before reaching the hospital.
The police reached there after getting information. The body was sent for postmortem. Police force has been deployed in the village to avert any untoward incident. CO City Mohammad Akmal said that a manhunt has been launched to nab the accused.
