More COVID-19 cases in Ballia
Ballia: Four new cases of COVID-19 were detected on Thursday increasing the tally to 70 in the district. The infected persons have been admitted to the hospital.
According to the district surveillance in-charge Dr. AK Mishra, among the new cases, three persons of a family belong to Chhatwa locality in Gadwar block, while one person is the native of Bankata locality in city Kotwali area.
An elderly person of Chhatwa locality was tested positive for COVI-19 on June 12, after which the samples of other family members including wife, son and daughter were sent for testing. They were found positive in test result received on Thursday.
So far 59 COVID-19 patients have recovered from illness, and they were discharged from the hospital. Presently there are 11 active cases of COVID-19 in the district.
