Two killed one injured in Ballia
Ballia: In a tragic incident an elderly couple were crushed to death by a speeding SUV, while their daughter-in-law was injured seriously at Paschim Patkhauli village in Maniar police station area on Wednesday night.
According to reports, Ashok Rajbhar (60) along with his wife Sumitra Devi (55) and daughter-in-law Ramuni Devi were sitting on roadside when an uncontrolled SUV ran over them and fled from the scene.

Ashok died on the spot. The injured persons were rushed to the district hospital, where Sumitra was declared dead. Ramuni was admitted to the hospital for treatment. The police sent the body for postmortem. The matter is being investigated.
Earlier, two women died after struck by sky lighting and seven others were injured during paddy sowing at Chandayar village in Maniar area. The killed women were identified as Savita (35) and Sheela (19). The injured persons including Pritee, Sangita Devi, Reeta Devi, Laxmi Devi, Giduya, Kanti Devi, Mohani, and Satya Prakash have been admitted to the Sikanarpur community health centre for treatment.
