Mukhtar’s aide booked under Gangster-Act

Varanasi: In continuation of actions against the aides of jailed don and MLA Mukhtar Ansari, the Cantt police on Friday booked a fish trader and his two associates under Gangster Act.

According to the Cantt inspector Rajiv Singh, the fish trader Salim and his two associates Rajesh Gulli and Anand Masih have been booked under Gangster Act.

Earlier, the police confiscated properties worth of over Rs. one crore of another arrested fish trader Ravindra Nishad in Jaunpur on Thursday. Nishad’s other properties including two-floor residential building, a shopping complex, two goods carriers and a motorcycle were confiscated and his two bank accounts were also seized on July 10 after his arrest. Nishad was arrested on July 4.
