Varanasi crosses 1200-mark of COVID-19 cases

Varanasi: As many as 88 persons were found positive for COVID-19, the highest ever number in the district in a single day on Saturday increasing the tally to 1206.

According to daily medical bulletin, 1108 results of the samples were received from the BHU lab on Saturday showing 88 persons positive for COVID-19. With the discharge of 10 patients from hospitals the number of cured patients has become 523. Presently there are 652 active case of COVID-19 in the district, while 31 patients had died so far.

In Sonbhadra district, 48 more persons were tested positive for COVID-19 0n Saturday. According to Sonbhadra CMO Dr SK Upadhyaya, 380 lab test reports were received on Friday. With it, the total positive cases in the district has become 280. So far 71 persons recovered from illness, while one person died. Presently, the district has 208 active cases of coronavirus.
