BHU mulls to conduct UET/PET-2020 in August

Varanasi:  The Banaras Hindu University has proposed to conduct its entrance examinations -UET/PET 2020 for admission in UG and PG courses between August 16 and 31. The exams were proposed to be held between July 10 and 29.

The BHU vice chancellor Prof. Rakesh Bhatnagar held a high-level meeting of University Admission Coordination Board (UACB) and Apex Advisory Committee to discuss the matter. The meeting was attended by the deans of different faculties and directors of institutes.

According to the BHU spokesperson Rajesh Singh, all aspects of the prevailing situation due to COVID-19 pandemic were discussed in the meeting. The possibility to conduct the examination was explored in light of the guidelines issued by the government for Unlock-2.  It was proposed in the meeting to conduct the examinations in between August 16 and 31. However, the final decision in this regard would be taken only after the direction of UGC and MHRD.  Applicants are advised to visit the university’s entrance test portal regularly for updates.
