DLW holds Safety Week activities
Varanasi: Under the Safety Week programme starting from Wednesday, the Diesel Locomotive Works (DLW) organize a series of activities on the first day to create awareness among the masses.
A prabhat-pheri (morning procession) led by the chief safety officer Mahesh Kumar was carried out in the premises. The procession was joined by the cadets of scout and guide, civil defence, members of ambulance brigade, and students of inter college.
It was followed by a function at the reception hall of administrative building, where oath of safety was administered to the officials and employees. Besides, a seminar was also held for the crane drivers and maintenance staff at the workshop. In order to create awareness other activities like painting competition, street play and safety counseling were also held on the occasion.
