HC dismisses plea against Ram Mandir Bhoomi-Pujan

The petitioner had filed the plea seeking the court’s direction to restrain the foundation laying ceremony of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya contending that it would breach the protocol to check Covid-19. The petitioner argued that gathering of people may cause violation of the social distancing.

The bench dismissed the petition saying that the entire petition is based on assumptions. The Court expected that organizers would maintain social and physical distancing.
