COVID-19 positive patient recovers in Varanasi, tested negative in reexamination  

 

Varanasi: When 46 new positive cases of COVID-19 were reported in Uttar Pradesh on Friday morning, good news too came from Varanasi, the constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, where one of the two Covid-19 positive patients was tested negative in rechecking.

The two positive patients -one detected on March 21 and another on March 28, had been admitted to the isolation ward of the DDU district hospital. “One of the two COVID-19 positive patients was tested negative. We will discharge him soon,” said Dr. VB Singh, the chief medical officer.

Presently, there are 23 suspects of COVID-19 in the isolation ward of the hospital. The CMO said that the teams of health department in collaboration with the district administration are engaged in screening and diagnostic testing of the suspects and put them in quarantine or isolation.
