Red rose farewell to COVID-19 fighters

11 winners of coronavirus battle including three from Varanasi, three from Jaunpur and five from Ghazipur leave hospital

Varanasi: When the Prime Minister Narendra Modi was addressing an event at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi to mark the Civil Servants Day on Tuesday, two civil servants in his constituency – divisional commissioner Deepak Agrawal and the district magistrate Kaushal Raj Sharma with other frontline warriors were honouring those 11 men and women, who defeated the coronavirus.

Presenting rose flowers, sanitizers and masks to them, the two officers appreciated their fighting spirit before giving a farewell at the DDU District Hospital. Among the recovered persons, three women are from Varanasi district, three from Jaunpur district and five persons from Ghazipur district. They left for their respective place.

Besides, the DM and Commissioner also felicitated the doctors and nursing staff of the hospital for their commitment and service. Other officials including ADM (protocol) Atul Kumar, deputy collector Pramod Pandey and chief medical officer Dr. VB Singh were also present on the occasion.
